I’m hosting an event at my school and we’d like to have poker, blackjack and other casino games as an activity. However, we are not permitted to gamble. Does anyone know any alternatives?
Okay, sorry, I should have been more specific. No gambling of any kind can be involved, not even for innanimate objects, cookies, treats, plastic chips, etc. However, we want the general feel of an old fashioned casino. For example, we plan to play blackjack as the gambling aspect can be removed entirely without taking away from the card game itself. Does anyone know how to do this with poker or any other similar games that would fit these criteria?

I’m traveling to the south of France (Cannes) in January, and I am looking for opportunities to play some poker (Texas Hold’em no-limit/pot-limit). A tournament would be ideal, but cash games would be great too. Such a famous gambling area should have plenty of opportunities, but I have not been able to find information on where and when I could play. Help, anyone?

i know that in the US the drinking age is 21, and you only have to be 18 to be a bartender. the gambling age is 21, do you only have to be 18 to be a poker dealer, or have any other job in a casino?
Where can I find a freaking game!?
My home games with friends are too infrequent to satisfy my constant poker cravings and the casino is both far and doesn’t hold tournamnets.
I know there’s lots of you out there like me, so I’ve searched for you on a bunch the “home poker game” websites, but I have yet to find any use out of the sites. There’s got to be a better way to organize us gambling enthusiasts. We exist in great numbers… let’s meet and gamble!
So, the question stands: where can I find a freaking game!?

Basically I have a gambling problem and I hate it, it’s wrecking my life completely. I lose all my money on roulette, be it online or in a book-makers. I also play poker which hasn’t been a major problem in my life. So I have an account on Bet365 online poker room (let me stress I specifically made a poker account not a casino account). And I noticed that on their POKER client on my POKER account there was easy access to roulette without having to register for a casino account or anything,. You can even play it with your POKER money. So obviously considering my problem it didn’t take me long to start wasting my money on the roulette. This really I annoyed me as I didn’t want to have access to online roulette and I feel if it’s there I can’t help myself.
So I emailed them telling them to disable my access to the roulette they sent me an irrelevant reply which proves they read the message, then disabled my account. I literally just asked them to unlock my account and they did, which followed onto me losing all of my benefit money on their roulette. As a “Responsible Gaming” site surely they are in the wrong for allowing me to do this to myself after they knew my problem?

What is the best university program for someone whose “DREAM” (not career goals) is to be a proffesional gambler, particullarly poker, sports betting, and casino games.
A Major in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology?
A Major in Psychology with a minor in Mathematics?
Statistics?? Financial Courses?? Drama??
Note: I’m not kidding, this is a serious question and I would appretiate not being told I am going to end up broke and homeless on the streets.
I understand the complexities of gambling and wish to do that exclusively for a living at some point in my life. I would like to think I possess a mature insight towards poker and have always had a high IQ. I feel I can think on that higher level like the great players do, but still wish to go to university to gain a better acedemic insight and to prevent my parents from kicking me out of the house.
I already posted this in the Higher Education section and now wish to gain advice from more gamblers
Thanks in advance
My friend and I want to take a road trip to play poker when he turns eighteen. We know in Oklahoma there are several casinos where you can gamble if you’re eighteen. Does anyone know the best ones to go to if you want to play poker?
